How my journey began

Hi, my name’s Jake 👋🏼.

I was born and raised in Southern California and earned an Economics Degree from San Diego State University. I’ve worked in finance/banking, music/entertainment, and fintech but try to pull most of my learnings from outside of work experiences.

When I was 17 years old I took a trip that changed my life. I spent six weeks in Gulu, Uganda to implement funds raised by a non-profit community group that I co-led back home. We renovated school laboratories, stayed in Internally Displaced Person camps to distribute food with the World Food Programme, and visited the schools and homes of those in need. For one, these experiences taught me that problems are relative; what I consider a problem is wildly different than what a Ugandan might. But perhaps more importantly, I realized that to be solved, complex issues typically require unique and creative solutions, and I’d like to help drive those solutions, wherever they may be.

The ideal entrepreneur is both creative and analytical, two traits I strive to embody in my work, and am excited to help you achieve.
